Al Barsa, Jr. is president of Barsa Consulting Group, Inc., which specializes in the IBM AS/400. Al serves as Senior Technical Advisor for Midrange Computing and is both a past president and current vice president of L.I.S.U.G. (one of our own). Al is very active in the COMMON organization, as a frequent speaker (his lectures are always full) and as the editor of the COMMON Technical Library, and has lectured at user group meeting throughout the world.
In the past, Al has been voted COMMON's Best Speaker. In 1995, he was named on AS/400 Insider Weekly's Ten Biggest AS/400 Market Influencers and received COMMON's highest honor, the COMMON Lifetime Distinguished Service Award.
Barsa Consulting is a three time IBM Premier Business Partner, and was the recipient of the IBM Business Partner Mark of Quality Award for firms with less the ten employees.
