OS/400 - Looking Forward
Meeting will be held on January 18, 2006.
As most of us involved with the i5/iSeries/AS400 platform know, there is a new release
of OS/400 expected in the near future. This month's presenter, Tom McBride, iSeries
System Chief Engineering Manager, is well positioned to share what he can with us
about the future of OS/400.
Officially, we are NOT allowed to tell you whether this presentation will or will not
be about V5R4. In addition, we have been advised that:
- There will be no handouts,
- Reporters/press are not to be allowed in the session,
- Those attending need to understand that the information is being presented
for their benefit alone and it should not be shared with the press.
Tom is sure you can appreciate the problems that could result from the information going
completely public too soon. Your assistance and understanding here is greatly appreciated.
