About Event

The next era of enterprise computing is taking shape now—and it is bringing together technologies once considered separate worlds. Quantum computing, artificial intelligence, classical infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise data architecture are beginning to converge, creating both extraordinary opportunities and urgent new questions for technology leaders.

Pre-Session: Beyond Bits: Quantum Computing, AI, and the New Cryptographic Frontier

Quantum computing has moved from a physics-lab curiosity to a boardroom agenda item, but the gap between perception and what the technology can do today is often misunderstood. This session will explore the emerging relationship among quantum, AI, and classical computing—not as competing technologies, but as complementary tools in a hybrid computing future. It will also examine an issue increasingly on every CISO’s radar: the threat quantum computing poses to today’s public-key encryption, why post-quantum cryptography matters, and how organizations are beginning to prepare now.

Main Session: Enterprise AI at an Inflection Point: Industry Trends and AI on IBM Power

AI is one of the most transformational technologies of our lifetime, and enterprise adoption is reaching an important turning point. This session will examine the evolution of AI and model development across the industry, the capabilities and vision for AI on IBM Power, and the innovations shaping 2026 and beyond. Attendees will explore IBM’s architectural approach to scalable AI deployments, how organizations are using AI today, what an AI-native data architecture means, and how these ideas apply directly to IBM i environments.

Join LISUG for an evening that connects future-facing innovation with real enterprise strategy. Whether you are planning your organization’s AI roadmap, evaluating new security risks, modernizing IBM i, or simply trying to understand where quantum and AI fit into the technology landscape, this program will give you a clearer view of what is changing—and how to prepare for what comes next.

This event is especially valuable for IBM i professionals, developers, architects, security leaders, CIOs, CISOs, infrastructure teams, data and AI practitioners, technology executives, and anyone responsible for shaping their organization’s long-term computing strategy.
